InuYasha is the Main Character and my Favorite

                                       InuYasha

Inuyasha is the main character and is the title of the series. His
name translates into "Dog Demon", and he is one of two sons of the Lord
Inuyoukai. Inuyasha is a demi-youkai, meaning he is half-demon and half-
human. His brother Sesshoumaru, on the other hand, is full youkai and
despises his brother for being a half-breed and for becoming the heir to
their father's powerful sword, the Tetsaiga or Tetsusaiga in Japanese.

Because of his bloodline, Inuyasha inherited the powers of a demon and
some of his fathers characteristics: including his eyes, fangs, claws, dog
ears, and hair. He also has the ability to heal incredibly fast. He is as
strong as most full-youkai, but he does have weaknesses due to his human
heritage. But on the night of a new moon, his demon powers vanish and he
becomes human until sunrise. This makes him extremely weak and only the
people closest to him know about this secret.

Fifty years ago, Inuyasha was in love with the pristess Kikyou who was
the gardian of the Shikon no Tama (Shikon Jewel). An evil demon known as
Naraku turned them against each other, and Kikyou pined Inuyasha to a tree
with a sacred arrow. She died then after, burning the jewel along with her
so that it's evil would forever rest.

Being Kikyou's reincarnation, she had the Shikon no tama, jewel of four souls, inside of her stomach. She meets Inuyasha on the sacred God Tree, pinned against it by Kikyou's sacred Miko arrow. Kagome pulls it out, in a desperate attempt to stay alive, being that she was pinned to the tree, against IY, by the centipede demon. IY saves her, but wants to Shikon jewel, that came out of Kagome. But, Lady Kaede, Kikyou's younger sister, put prayer beads around his neck, causing IY to fall to the ground whenever Kagome says SIT!.In an attempt to get the jewel back from a crow demon, Kagome shoots an arrow at it, and it bursts into a bunch of shards. So, IY and Kagome search for the jewel shards together. Kagome has intimate feelings for IY, but he likes Kikyou. Kagome and IY still stay together 'til the end.

                                          Miroku

A monk who likes women very much. Miroku is known as the indecent monk with an air hole in his hand, Naraku gave that hole to Miroku's grandfather, who is also indecent as well. Unfortunately, the airhole will eventually suck Miroku in and make him disappear, so Miroku wants to find Naraku, defeat him in order to save himself and his future generations.

                                         Sango

Sango is a professional Youkai Extreminator. Her whole family and the people of her village were killed by Naraku, she joined the Inuyasha team to kill Naraku and avenge for her family and village neighbors.

                                             Shippo

Shippo is a young fox demon. His father was killed by the Thunder Brothers. In order to get revenge, Shippo tried to steal shikon stone shards from Kagome and Inuyasha, but since he's relatively weak, he got caught easily. Ever after, he's been traveling with the Inuyasha team, to defeat Naraku.
